About Us
In September 2004, 6 people met together at an office to formalize an idea that had been brewing for a couple of years - the need for a gay and lesbian business and professional group. They envisioned not only an organization representing all businesses and professions, but also representing all groups in the community.
In October 2004, over 30 members of the community came together to discuss, plan and put into action the Diversity Business Association. After the enormous response from that meeting, the wheels really started turning and it was evident that our ideas would quickly become reality. On the morning of November 4th, 2004, it became even more apparent that the need for our organization was now. With the elections over and the GLBT community's unity even more crucial, we worked diligently in the background to prepare for a new year and a fantastic new organization. We have heard the response and feel a true obligation to you, the GLBT community, to make DBAMetro a success. . . but we need you. If you feel the need is now and can sense the amazing opportunities ahead, join us today. We would love to have you. Our goal? To be a positive organization in the GLBT community and the Oklahoma City community as a whole. Today, September 07, 2008 there are 205 active members join us now
